Dulanie Ellis came to documentary filmmaking the long way. She first had a 15-year career as a Script Supervisor in Hollywood, working on feature films, television series and commercials. She had her first and only child in her forties and said good-bye to the film business. But once her daughter was in school, Dulanie met a couple of fellows in her home town of Ojai who were launching a documentary film company. Five years and four award-winning documentaries later, Dulanie decided it was time to launch her own production company and Walk Your Talk Productions was born. "Home Grow'n" was the answer to a 20-year desire for "someone to do something" about the disappearing farmland in her home of Ventura County, California. That someone turned out to be herself.

Michael Shevchuk has been the cameraman and editor on every documentary produced by Walk Your Talk Productions. Dulanie initially met Michael on the "Born Free" television series, working with a cast of African animals through torrential El Nino storms. His ability to adapt to any situation, his talent for film and ear for music made him the perfect partner when Dulanie launched her own production company. His signature is on every film.
